I have several Craftsman, HF, NAPA, and even an old Sparta ratchet, but my favorite that really like is the Stanley extendible ratchet that has a locking flex head. The extending feature is really nice as it can be long when breaking a bolt loose but then can be easily shortened for quicker strokes. And it is the ONLY Stanley tool that I own (out of thousands of tools). I have been amazed that it has never failed given all of the abuse it has received. Just recently saw one at my local Wal-Mart for $19.95. My son has the HF ratchets which seem pretty handy and a good deal, especially if you get the 20 or 25% off the sale price. Recognize that the size of the head may impact the usefulness of any ratchet though, regardless of brand.
Happy wrenching!!
