That is made in taiwan. I have it in the junk drawer at home. It is actually pretty nice for the money. Usa made I think Snap on is the only one. I have five. The pistol grip, t-handle long and short, stubby and regular. They are by far the best. I also have the Cornwell that comes with a boat load of bits. That goes on the road with me when I do on site installs. The Cornwell is also made in Taiwan.

Yes. Snap on has the best in ratcheting screwdrivers. If you simply can't afford one, one year my parents bought me a skil brand ratcheting screwdriver. I was sceptical of it because, well, it was skil brand! But, I had just really started using it in the past couple weeks, and let me tell you, it is great! By the way, the size is in between the size a regular screw driver and a stubby screwdriver, so if you want a large handled one, this might not be for you! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004ZONKTU/?tag=atomicindus08-20

And also, I just noticed a snap on type ratcheting screwdriver by jh williams. I am no expert but I think they are affiliated with snap on. The screw driver is apparently a replica/rebranded version of the snap on ones: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002NI1LZK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

The Williams is a bit different then the S-O, but still the same (different shape handle and no knurling on the shaft) William's is S-O industrail line.

I have several Snap-on's myself.

Also if you search for the case/ih branded one ( international harvester tractor) brand its the same as the Williams and like 24 bucks! But really the snap on made ones are worth a little more than the craftsman. Check eBay I got mine for 27 bucks and it's my favorite screwdriver by far

Snap-On if your can afford it.

Williams if you are on a budget.

The Wera has it's place but not in my daily use and all the rest pale in comparison to the two above.

No fanboi here. Daily use with many many years on them.

Someone at work had a ratcheting screwdriver that I used. I liked it-the driver has a smooth one way bearing in it. Don't know how strong it is for automotive, but he had been using it in electronics for years. There is a basic screwdriver with changeable bits somewhere in that website. http://www.spectools.com

The Snapon drivers are the last word in ratcheting screwdrivers. I wouldn't trade mine for the world.

At work I carry a Proto J9320 which is USA made as well and of VERY high quality.

I bought the Craftsman you posted a while back, and it is basically a Gearwrench knockoff of the Snappy design. I got some good use out of it, but it was getting pretty rough before it got tossed in favor of the Proto.

I have Snap-on hard handle and soft grip, William's, Craftsman and Wera. Don't really need another ratcheting screwdriver but I was intrigued by photos of the Proto J9320. I have one on order and am curious how it compares to the Snap-on ratcheting screwdrivers.

I like my gearless. Smooth and a strong SOB. Magnetic bit holder has a strong magnet too. I think its made in England, however.

I have the red craftsman one and i really like it. The ratcheting action is very smooth and fine tooth, and so far it's held up extremely well considering the abuse I put it through.

The only complaint I have about it is that it's not that magnetic. It's magnetic in the sense that it will hold the bit into place, but not magnetic enough to hold onto the screw when i'm pulling the screwdriver out.

However for the price (i think it's like $16 on sale right now) i don't think it can be beat.

while I own only one Snap-on tool, it is a ratcheting screwdriver lol, I bought it 26 years ago for $90, it has been used almost daily since and is the "go-to" screwdriver to this day.

I have the older Kobalt soft grip regular and stubby - both have worked well. I also have an old Draper one I bought in England over 25 years ago that has held up without any problems and last but not least I have what I think is a Stanley orange and black handled one that has also seen lots of use over 20 years.

I should add I use Snap on and Blue Point bits in all of them

Just got my Proto J9320 from the SpeeDee delivery man. :D I like my Snap-on and William's ratcheting screwdrivers better. One thing I don't like about the Proto J9320 is you can go clockwise or counterclockwise but you cannot lock the shank.

I own this, and the Williams, and Snap-on. This is a great ratcheting screwdriver for 16.99. The handle fits in my hand well, and I routinely use it. The Snap-On is better no doubt, but I like this one better than the Williams. Someone said it doesn't magnetically hold screws. All you have to do is use a magnetizer/demagnetizer on it depending on what you want.
