I also love my quincy more than any other tool I own, man it sounds awesome when running, it is from 67 though. I looked at new ones and am still impressed with the fact they are built here at least the ones I saw. If I was buying new it would be a quincy without question.

Another satisfied Quincy owner here. If I were in your situation though I would go ahead and save the extra $600 and get the $1800 two stage machine. It makes more air and the pump spins at a nice slow 942 rpm:beer:.

Just an FYI, but that one is "only" rated 30k on the pump vs 50k on the larger models and it uses a 3450rpm motor.

It's on the Quincy brochure, if that is a factor for you.

I have also seen some of the Quincy's come with a WEG (Brazilian) motor.

That being said I almost bought one of those, until I ran across a pretty good used Champion.

Damn you I don't wanna save longer lol, ya that's what I was thinking also though.
You know what's funny? Ive had my POS Campbell hausfield for 15 years, drained the water 1 yes that's ONE time over those years and never had a problem with it and it is used and running 7 days a week. Its just under powdered for what I need it for now. Paid like $250 for it at meijer's
