looking for a new creeper

im open to most anything here, except a composite type due to the ones ive used seem to flex and rub on the ground. also they seem to trap my shoulders.

i weigh around 240 so that doesn't help the case either.

my dad has a nice snap on one and ive always liked that one but doesn't have to be snap on!

The Snap-On with the adjustable headrest is very nice. I would make sure that anything you buy does have the headrest, well worth the money.

that is similar to what my dad has, his doesn't have the adjustable rest. that is the style that i will hope to find.

it doesn't have to be snap on just good qaulity, made in usa is a plus.

I also weigh 240 and use the plastic harbor freight one. It does not flex under me cost $20 I think. It also has 2 little trays on the sides that I find handy.

If you plan on using it a lot and for extended periods definitely save your neck and get an adjustable head rest.

Only 1 Creeper HF sells has an adjustable head rest and its sort of a piece of junk. This is one of the few areas where i'd say spend the money, get a Snap-On or Whiteside. Sure its expensive but its going to last you a lifetime and save you pain and aggrevation. I think SO has [or had] lifetime replacement on the casters as well.

Cornwell RSC1100 Wide body creeper. I've had several creeper styles and this one is the best I have found. I'm at 250 lbs. and it handles my big **** well.

I have a 2 snap-on creepers and a Z creeper that i got for christmas from the inlaws...

I have to honestly say i use the cheap z creeper the most, it convers to a chair and has trays that i put magnets on to hold nuts/bolts, large wheels... very sturdy and handy creeper, my only comlaint is that it sits kinda tall compared to the snap-on...

Just joined forum and loving it so far.

I bought a usa made whiteside creeper with adjustable headrest 3 or so years ago. Found them after talking on phone with snap on about their creepers. Lady asked me if i wanted to know who makes them for them, uh sure. Whiteside. Worked for me, i just wanted a good creeper. Didnt have to say snap on.

Very happy with it, think i paid around $70 on ebay, looks like about $100 on their now. Casters even say Usa. I like the V shape in frame for arm relief. The adjustable head rest is great too. Wouldnt own one without it after having it.

My dad has a Harbor freight plastic one. Its decent but more then once it pinched my arm skin in a caster, not cool. Hasn't happened with whiteside, their casters are more covered up.

Whiteside sells china stuff too, but their website is very clear about what is usa and whats china. They make other stuff too.

I really like the Cornwell creeper. The main reason I purchased this one was you can also sit and work from it as well. No square tubes in the way, huge wheels for rough surfaces and very low to the ground. I really prefer it to my Snap-on creeper and others that I have had

I have a oversized kneeling pad. Works pretty good as a creeper.. and you dont slide all over trying to break that stuck bolt loose.

ive been checking out this one King Crawler All-Terrain Creeper. No adjustable headrest but huge caters and a fairly wide stance. They have it at tooltopia for 100.99

HAMMER1963 i like that one looking at it its seems to be comfy to a point. must be made for cornwell by traxion. it doesn't show up on there site though.

i wouldn't mind that one, not a bad price either. i see also they have the king crawler on traxion.

wish there was a cornwell dealer around here so i could see one in person.

Dunno how well it'd work for you, but the extra long Craftsman model is perfect for me (I'm 6'3", 180 lb). It's comfortable enough without being too stiff, and is quite sturdy. The price is good compared to others. At least back when I got it, it used to go on sale fairly often.
