My 12 year old Karcher electric one finally died. Would like to stick with electric since I only use it one time a year to do the siding and deck. Then it just sits. I’d like a more powerful unit old one as only 1400 psi and I want the standard 1/4” quick connect fittings none of that proprietary connection ****. Looking at the Ryobi 2300 psi at Home Depot. Anyone have any experience with that one or have another suggestion?

Just in case you buy the Ryobi, don't put just the one bottle of oil in there that comes with the machine. You need two bottles. I've seen what one bottle of oil (12 ounces) does to the machine.

Not familiar with that model but have the 1600 Ryobi and no complaints. Actually use it more than our big gas washer, lot more convenient. Have used it quite a bit and it still keeps on chugging.

Below is the 1700 Ryobi that I just acquired last week on the way home from work. Guy down the road had it out in the trash pickup pile. Said it quit last fall. Got it home and all it needed is a new plug lol.

I bought the electric Ryobi 1900 psi unit A couple weeks ago. I owned a 5 hp gas unit several years ago. It always worked well, but I opted for electric this time because what I plan to do with it is different. I’m not using it to wash my house or clean the driveway. The main reason I bought it was to clean the underside of my mower deck.
I like how quiet it is and how it shuts off when you don’t need it to run. A gas unit is running all the time. I also like how small it is and how easy it is to store.

This thread is timed just right. My Sun Joe electric power washer died yesterday. The pressure switch went wonky. So looking for a new one. Mostly use it for cleaning the concrete walks/patio etc. The sun joe was a 3000psi and worked great. But don't know if I really need that much pressure.

I have this cheap one that I got at Lowe's a while back

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Greenworks-1600-PSI-1-2-GPM-Cold-Water-Electric-Pressure-Washer/1000866740

These are seasonal items, I bought mine in the fall for like $59 or $69.

Have had it a few years, it works good as long as the job is not too big.

I am careful to winterize the pump. It has not given me a problem.

If it died tomorrow, I would pitch it and get another.

I have a gas one for bigger jobs, but it is also a much bigger hassle with fuel, size, etc.

Will that once clean the black mildew off concrete walkways?
