Funny your fingers do lot of talking but somehow they can't use Google or fill in URL that I provided with specific cng information. CNG Non-Believers who refuse facts end up being well-inforrmed non-believers . . . LOL!
ONLY vehicles I drive are cng capable. Bi-fuel Chevy Cavalier that I bought in Atlanta, GA for $7,200 used that gets 30 mpg gasoline and 33 mpg cng highway and 25 mpg city. So while running public $1.19/gge cng in KS that works out to 3.6 CENTS a mile ; while in OK on $0.90/gge cng that is 2.7 CENTS a mile!! With $3.70/gal gasoline that equates to 137 mpg in OK - - find me a "Pee-On-Us" that gets 137 mpg while driving in Oklahoma !! Ha, Ha!!
Also have bi-fuel Chevy C2500 pickup that I bought for $9K used in California that gets 17 mpg highway on either fuel. While on KS public cng at $1.19/gge that works out to 7 CENTS a mile with a 6.0 ltr v8 - - - yep that is NEARLY SAME as Pee-On-Us getting 55 mpg on $3.70/gal gasoline which is 6.7 cents per mile. I'd choose my bi-fuel Cavvie or pickup any day of the week over Pee-On-Us (costing $28K to $30K new)!!
Back to your Non-Believing in Indianapolis, IN there are 3 total public cng pumps (remember I showed you www.cngprices.com)!! Greenes Auto Service and Citizens Gas/Coke Utility which are both at $1.00/gge for CNG!!! 3rd station in Indy is KAKCO at $2.15/gge. Driving a Honda Civic NG in Indy at 40 mpg highway using $1/gge cng works out to 2.5 CENTS Per Mile!!! That's almost 3 times better than a Pee-On-Us driving in Indy!!
Driving cng does take smart driving to watch the fuel gauge and plan trips when public cng stations are sparse. Other cng owners have own cng pump at house and rarely even need public cng stations at all.
