I’ve had the new tekton ones for a few months. They’ve done everything I’ve asked of them. No complaints at all

Those Channellock look nice but 25 bucks a piece seems a little steep

Looks like Sunex sells a comprehensive set for ~$55. Not sure where they're made but if they're up to the quality of their other tools they would be worth looking into.

For flush cutters you'll have a hard time beating the $5 Hakkos. They perform as well or better than my $33 Kleins.

Erem pliers & cutters are quite nice but are like a holesaw into your bank account ;) But very high quality tools.

That’s my recommendation; unless your work involves using them all day long then the more expensive options might make sense. Even in that case I’d start with Tekton then upgrade the type that ends up getting the most use.

I really like Lindstrom precision pliers but then again I didn't have to pay for them

If you want quality, then look for Tronex, Swanstrom, Lindstrom, SO, Erem, old Diamond. (IMHO SO doesn't get enough credit for their electronics/precision line of pliers - they are really top shelf).

I prefer to buy them ala carte but If you want a decent set at a really good price, then get the 3 pc Doyle set from HF. The Doyle plier lineup is impressive.

Channellock singles would be a good choice - I wouldn't buy that set as there are several there I'd never use. Quality mini pliers are expensive so maybe HF or Tekton if you dont want to spend $$$ on a 3-4. I have NWS classic line minis and they're great but really expensive now.

I’ll check into the Hakko pliers. I have a set of their cutters and they are nice.
