Looking for a thread where a guy shows how to overlay a sheet metal patch panel, making small cuts and tack welding in around the patch panel repeating the process as he works his way around the patch. Seen it a while back but now I can't find it. Anyone got a link? Thanks

I know on you tube there's "Fitzee's fabrications" that does what he calls cut & **** for body work . he has several videos on the process

I don't think so. I been reading through the "Show us your welding projects" thread for the last couple of months so that's probably where I seen it. I think it may have had a link to the "HAMB" but it may have been on Garage Journal where guys were arguing about patch panels, Flange vs No Flange , Gap vs No Gap, Mig vs Tig vs Gas welding, etc. Anyway a guy demonstrated his method I described in my O.P.
