Hello,
I need to get a hold of snap-on dealer in Waukegan, IL area. My old dealer retired and did not need anything for several years. Now I'm retired and have a ratchet that needs attention, lots of attention. I did contact snap-on online and they are sending me a rebuilt kit but I think it is more than just a rebuilt kit, whole thing needs to be replaced.
So please shoot me a PM if you know of any dealers in my area.
Thank you.

We did not have a dealer for about 2 years at my shop. I never had an issue dealing with Snap On direct. I would email them with a picture of a broken tool and a few days later I would have a new one in the mail. Never asked for the old one back either. Cant beat that.

I hear you but when I did emailed them, service guy said that rebuilt kit for this ratchet would take care of the problem. The rebuilt kit in this ratchet is only 6 months old and already acting up, when I took it apart, all looks good, I think it is the body of ratchet that is warned out and thats why it would be good for snap-on guy to look at it and possibly exchange for another one. Will see, I'll contact snap-on directly if I cannot find a dealer.

Plenty around
Best bet is to have a friend in the industry(somewhere a snap on rep services weekly) get it warranties for you rather than tracking down a dealer on your own
If you don’t have any friends in it,
If
You take your car/truck somewhere routinely for service ask them, I’m sure they won’t have a problem turning it into dealer for you

Call the customer care line, they will have someone call on you instantly

BUT, don't tell them you want to buy a box if you don't.

I hated getting emails to go sella box when the guy had a broken screwdriver

Why don't you just buy a new ratchet? Snap on doesn't owe you anything at this point. Plus times have changed, they likely won't warranty it - there's nothing in it left for them - you're retired. Keep us posted on this one. I'd be surprised in this day and age that Snap on would send you a new F80 to replace your clapped out 720 without proof of purchase which is their new game.

If you contact customer support they can tell you who is a dealer in your area and probably give you his number.

What!?! You pay a ridiculous amount of money for that lifetime warranty and service.

Go to a local dealership or mechanic garage and ask who their Snap-on Truck guy is and ask for his/her number. Snap-on no longer gives out the dealer's number for your "area" they give the dealer your number and it's at his discretion if he want's/feels like giving you a call.
