Hi gang,
I had the amish build a nice storage barn for me last year, 64x32x10… super happy with it..

problem: Was a super dry summer, used a Bobcat with a 24 inch auger to set the post … dirt around post was tamped down and watered……. Was going to leave it like that for a couple of months, but the concrete guy had a cancellation and we poured the floor about a month later( still no rain)
Problem I have is, now that is has been a year, the dirt around the post has settled more, and has left fairly large settlement ‘bowls around the post, 1/2 under the concrete, 1/2 on the out side….would like to fill that in and “solid” that up, to prevent rodents, cracking and post rot….. anyone have any good ideas? Thought about the foam that they use to level concrete pads(I have a company that does that nearby, somehow force concrete under there. (lead to post rot), or just fill it in the best I can … not worried to much about the “hollow” under the concrete from a structural perspective, 5+inch, and light useage….soil is 100 clay

let me know if anyone has any suggestions…
pete

I would form around each post, a little higher than bottom of slab. Fill with non shrink grout, depending on how thick the space is you may need to add pea gravel. By slightly overfilling it you will force the grout under the slab, depending how much you need you can probably hand mix.
