I wanna do a retrograde mod on a 24" snappy breaker bar.
the one I'd like do get is similar to the one on my large pry bars, its about 6.5" long. Is there a screwdriver or other cheep donor tool I could pick up on ebay that has a handle like this?

I figured you'd still be able to buy them? If not the biggest flat blade driver handle was a SDD6 or SDD8??? I forget.

true, but you have to get them through dealers. They will not appear on the website.

Is one of the one's you got the yellow one you used on the long 80 tooth? If so could you hit him up for the number for it? As well as the others you have been getting.

you can still get the handles for prybars, but some will come witha strike cap on the end. You cannot order the old style handles.

I've done it 5 times in the last month or so.Part numbers are on my invoices at work.New dealer came with a regional rep. When I told him I had a screwdriver with the old style black handle that weeps oil he took out a flyer which lists all the different handles and said"xxxx should work"and I had one the next week.I've ordered several more with the same part number in the weeks since then. All black handles but this week the dealer had an orange one that he ordered for someone else that he sold me as well. He's kinda slow so he couldn't find the part number for the orange again so he sold it to me as a black.I'll ride him again this week to try to get the number for orange. He's easily flustered so anything unusual is difficult.

Sounds like he is going to be quite successful! :wtf:

I would also be interested in the information.

For the OP: are you taking a 'normal' SN24C and trying to modify it to accept a hard handle? (In other words, turning it into a SNH24?)

Ok guys here's pics of the five I bought off the truck, well 4 I bought and 1 that the rep warrantied for me.Plus one yellow one I purchased from Ktwhitelaw awhile back. The black ones are the right size for 6 and 8 inch flatblades but the hole may have to be drilled a little larger. The orange one is the right size for the 4" phillips #2 and flat blade but I still haven't found that part number yet.

I want an SNH24, but I don't like the new style grip and want to put on an old style hard handle, like I did on my FHX80 ratchet

I bought a black 6 1/2" hard handle a while ago from my dealer. It has a 1/2" square hole in it, but the tool I wanted to replace the handle on was only 7/16". Price was $19.56.

So far the only numbers I can get to work are SDD5R-1R, SDD6R-1R AND SDD8R-1R. I am assuming all of these are black handle's. Does anyone have any part # for colored ones? I feel like I am fixing to drop some $$$$$$

I'd like to find a couple of orange #'s to replace a couple of mine that are pretty beat up. Hmmm

sdd6r-1ro is the only 6 inch I could find.. and it would be orange. it superceded the black handle....
I will keep looking.
have your dealer order this flyer for you. SS1860B it is what we use to find blades and handles.... might come in handy for you guys that want certain handles.

That is a handle for a screwdriver with a 6" blade (SDD6O). The overall length is 10 29/32, so the handle length would be 4 29/32. SDD12O would have a handle that is 6 9/16 long.
