So I have 17mm lugs for my car and my aftermarket wheels have a very limited amount of space in the wheels for a regular impact socket. Regular sockets fit with my 1/4" clearance. I'd prefer a deep socket to keep the gun away from the face. Any idea's? 3/8 or 1/2 drive is fine as is brand as long as it's a good socket. Would prefer something like this with a protective sleeve.

I have a set of them, pretty sure its the same manufacturer as they look identical. Snapped the socket without even using an impact. I'd rather pay a little more for a quality piece. If anyone can vouch for that cp then I'll scoop it up, has anyone used it before?

I have that cp socket as well. You can pull that white sleeve off and it becomes even thinner. I haven't broken it so far and I blast them with my gun. Mind you I don't use this socket everyday. Just the odd one that comes in and my impact doesn't fit.

Sounds like it should work, I'll use it maybe a handful of times a year. Anyone have any other suggestions or is this cp the way to go?

I might be flamed on suggesting the HF... Oh well, so be it. The 3/8 deep impact set has pretty thin wall. For the price it might worth a shot.

Grey pneumatic duo
they are thin; was working on an f250 with aftermarket rims
ended up using my 21 with a 1/2 to 3/8 reducer and it did the trick

Id just grab a regualr old chrome deep socket. You can use regular sockets for impact use. I do it every day, never any problems

In a pinch, wrap a non-impact socket with electrical tape
to both act like a sleeve and contain the pieces if it breaks.
Not for everyday use, but I do this a few times a year
with no problems.

I think ill pick up the grey pneumatic, might get a basic set at that price point. I don't want to use my chrome sockets as I'd rather not have a warranty issue down the road because I wanted to save $10. Thanks everyone for the recommendations. Snap on really does need to keep their site updated. I would have likely picked on up ha I seen it on their site when I made my last order a few weeks ago. ( still hasn't gotten here)
