looking for a working table, than can have the leg folded when not in use

Hi,

I need a work table (sturdy) about 4-5 ft long by 2.5-3 ft wide. When not in use, I want to fold the legs and put it against a wall. This is to work for example on a car seat ulphostery, so it needs to be strong a bit. Would be nice also if it had lockable wheels to move it around, in my case it will not be used against a wall.


Any one has made one or know who seels that.

I have an old conference room table that has legs like these:

We use it for a lot of different things and it will take a beating. The top is 3/4" particle board with Formica on it. I use it for woodworking projects and other stuff around the house. We use it for an extra tabel when having a cookout etc.

You could probably make one yourself out of a piece of 3/4" plywood and some 1x2's around the edge to stiffen it up some.

The folding tables sold are not high enough to stand and work. Great for sitting and working. I really like this one:

May be, but it's the legs that puzzle me. They would more than likely need to be metal with a foldable mechanism.

What about a sturdy set of saw horses and a custom made tabletop ?
The table top could be hung on the wall as well as the saw hoses.

I wish I could, your set-up is quite nice & efficient. My 2-car garage layout doesn't allow it. I need to locate it, while working on it, in the middle of 1-car space (like where you have your car lift). The other space is occupied by my car.

I have a Skil brand X-Bench with some really nice features. I got it at big-lots... lol. Its really sturdy and folds up nicely.
