Looking for a wrench case

First, I apologize if this has been discussed. I got a ton of hits from a "wrench case" search but it's a needle in a hay stack.

I'm tired of losing wrenches from my portable toolbox. They have always come back but it's a pain to look for them. Tool trays don't fit well.

I'm thinking about either a roll-up pouch or a hard case. I'm not sure which is more space efficient.

DeWalt has a set with a hard case that would probably be idea but it's $50. That's not out of the question but I'm happy with my wrenches.

I'm posting here in case someone has a better solution to the problem of organizing wrenches in a portable box? Perhaps I'm not the only one who can't see at a glance if a wrench is missing from the tray? I don't need anything expensive or flashy and I can 3d print something, if I can find a good design.

Roll up pouch. No way in any configuration is a blow molded hard case going to be more space efficient.

Sure wrench rolls can be ok

Craftsman did have really decent hard poly cases in several sizes for along time and still offer two of the larger ones. Others you can source thru Ebay, very slim profile.

I own a couple of them. A small box that easily holds a complete wrench up to 3/4" or 19mm and the bigger "under truck seat boxes come in 2 sizes and will hold the largest wrenches. Very slim boxes I wish I had more of the smaller ones these days myself for tool drawer storage.

I have also had several small all metal shallow height hip roof tool boxes over times too. I keep a series of piston ring compressors and pin puller parts in one like that now, stored in my roll cabinet but they also held small hand tools for tidy storage in larger truck mounted tool boxes in the past for me. I still use one for all my chainsaw tools... different files, bar holder screnches, raker gauge etc.

This has been good. I think I am going to find a plastic holder like comes on the HF set and screw it to my tool tray so it could be 1 handed or partial socket slot to toss them back.

Roll up pouch, or maybe a double pistol gun case with the foam inside.Maybe remove the bottom foam and use a dense foam and cut slots into it for each wrench. the original foam in the top would keep the wrenches from moving/rattling. Or 3d print a bottom tray insert. a pistol/gun case would be more durable than that dewalt case I would think.

Go to Walmart and get a shallow plastic pistol case. It comes with foam inserts and will easily and cheaply hold your wrenches. I also use them for single taps and dies.

Dammit Fang beat me to it

Home Despot has canvas bags, both Husky and Klien. Zipper top maybe 12' x 5'.

I use Husky zipper top bags for my wrenches. I have my electrical tools in a Milwaukee Pack out set, and those take up much less space than a tool roll.

I also use those for my sockets/ratchets, smaller screwdrivers, & nut drivers.

For $2.50 or so each they are a really good cheap solution. I keep extras in my boxes for any other use I find.
