OK, so I'm looking for some help here. I recently outfitted my work area with a new compressor. I got a killer deal on a 7.5 hp 80 gallon Campbell Hausfeld. 26.7 CFM baby! I also picked up a Reelcraft hose reel and am in the process of getting that operational.

Now onto the point: I have 100' of Goodyear Pliovic hose that I'd like to use for both the run from my regulator to the reel and on the reel itself. Of course, I need to split it and get the proper fittings. I had a short length of hose made at a local truck supply shop last week to connect my tank to the wall mounted regulator. They did a great job, but they won't touch my hose since their fittings and tools aren't specific to the Goodyear.

So short of buying two separate hoses and dealing with some excess, any ideas where/how I can get this hose split?

Thanks!

What is the hose diameter that you have?

on edit; http://www.goodyearep.com/productsdetail.aspx?id=1274 It looks like there are a couple of different types of hose under that name.

you can use what is called a 'reusable hose fitting' that is marketed by a few different companies. Do your research though because some of them are specific to both the I.D. and the O.D. That is why the link to the Goodyear site as they list the ID and OD of the different hoses. The reusable fittings you can assemble at the workbench as they screw together. If you go this route let me know and I'll give you a couple tips on assembling them

I make my air hoses with barb fittings and ferrules bought from mcmaster. I use a mastercool A/C hose crimper. I know it's not the correct tool, but it works just fine.

I use a pushlock air hose
I can cut to any size I need, push in the barbed fittings an because of the way the hose is designed, you don't need a clamp over the fitting.

The hose is not cheap, but last for ever

I decided to take the easy way out and use barbed fittings from the local hardware store. Used two hose clamps per fitting and I'm leak free. Not nearly as clean as I'd like, but it appears to be working with no issues. This hose reel is going to change my life!

You might look at the "2-ear clamps" that you crimp on with a set of pliers. Not as good as a properly crimped ferrule, but way better than worm gear hose clamps.

edit: Mcmaster has these for less than $10 for a package of 25 or 50 depending on what style and size you choose. The crimp tool runs $25 to $30. This is probably the cheapest route to get a reasonable quality hose connection.
