Looking for Alternative Breuer Tornado Dust Bag

A year or so ago I tore down and restored an early Breuer Tornado blower for my Delta 6x48 sander. OEM bags are extremely rare, so I'm looking for an alternative. I came up with a temporary fix, but now want to replace it with something more permanent. I'd like the bag to filter out at least 5 microns, ideally 3. The blower is extremely powerful so I have to account for that in the bag size as I don't want it to choke so to speak. Not sure how to measure CFM.

I tried one from Dust Right (Rockler) and returned it. The opening of the bag was too large and synching all the extra material caused it to leak. The quality was subpar as well, just Chinese ****.

The opening is 2 1/4" then there's a lip on the outside measuring about a 1/2".

Any recommendations of bags I should consider?

If you dig into this thread, several people put newer bags on vintage Delta equipment.

Using the search tool, top right, for that thread, for the word bag, should give you clues.

Do you want it to look period, or do you want it to work well without concern for period aesthetics? I've been searching for one of those. In my mind, I have it equipped with an Oneida Dust Deputy and a cartridge filter. It's sort of backwards to how the Dust Deputy is designed (blowing through instead of sucking through), but I still think it will work.

Typically I'm hard to persuade away from period, but since I work with my machines daily there's also that fine line of efficiency/safety vs appearance. If I could find a modern replacement that appeared vintage I'd be thrilled, but as I've seen that's not been possible yet.

I did come up with the following after looking over at my Jet canister DC. Mind you this was just a test and used only what I had in my shop. It does work, but could be better sealed. I was considering buying a filter with a metal top to better secure the inlet to. I did locate one a while ago, but have to go through my bookmarks now that I'm willing to make that next move. I thought just buying a fabric one may be easiest as this will turn into another "make something to make something" moment.

I know the this looks pretty bad, but again it was just a test.

These guys might help if you want to do it right. (But not cheap)

There was a similar company, swore they were in PA, but can't find them right now.

Nice to hear that results were at least partially positive. That's very much like what I've been thinking, except instead of blowing through the filter to a bag, I'm thinking a hose from the Tornado to a Dust Deputy, then the filter on the vertical stack of the Dust Deputy.
