Looking for an adapter or drive plug?1" to 1/2"

I would like to buy an adapter to make my 5849 (proto/plomb) ratchet 1/2, I have various adapters that go from 1" to 3/4 and 3/4 to 1/2, but that makes the ratchet a little more cumbersome, that I would like, I noticed that on another link they make a 5855(not sure when they stopped making it), which is a drive plug that goes from 1" to 3/4" well that is a start, or the main question is can I get a drive plug to go from 1" to 1/2 or have someone on here make one, I would pay for it, just a thought..... Also I do have a spare inch drive plug, that I could have someone modify, if possible...

I have never seen an adapter that skips a drive size and when you think about it that makes sense since it prevents you from going overkill with way to big of a drive tool for the socket/hardware you would be using it on. You will either have to double up adapters or have the plug modified/made to do what you want with it.

I just want to use the big ratchet as a breaker bar, as it about the same length as the 24 inch snap on breaker bar I have(I think 26 inches from 24) and then I don't have to worry about breaking any ratchet adapters as the 5849 should take a lot more torque than the s77 adapter ever would. That was my idea. I guess I will have to find someone to modify the plug somehow.

I bet you will have to make that. A 3/4" x 1/2" adapter is easy to find, but I really doubt anyone makes a 1" x 1/2". That is just asking to break stuff.

Anyone up to the task? I can send the drive plug.... Just an idea, i have a cornwell 3/4 to 1/2 and I am waiting for a 1" to 3/4 adapter from toptul, but I also bought a cheap 12 hf impact set to get from 1" to 3/4 and then 3/4 to 1/2, just sloppy and long with all of the adapters, one or none, would be better. Even have an sk set, but missing 1" to 3/4" and not much better.

as others have said, i've never seen a drive adaptor skip a size either.

if the extra bulk is objectionable, you'll want to get a regular 1"-3/4" adaptero and one of what I call the "wafer" style adaptors to do the 3/4"-1/2". ebay item #360132906397 is an example of these. I "invented" these about 10 years ago. Funny thing was about a week or two after I sent away to Lisle for their inventor kit, I found them in an Eastwood catalog. ******!
