Looking for an Aluminum floor jack

Are there any companies out there making a decent aluminum floor jack?

I'm not looking for anything super nascar/F1-esque, I just need to occasionally jack up my car for oil changes, servicing the breaks, etc.

I bought the one Harbor Freight has on sale occasionally had to get the low profile one for my sons Honda. Used it for the last 2 years with no complaint what so ever gets the job done goes up and down smoothly hope this helps.

Why aluminum?? Unless you're lifting/transporting the jack from site to site there is no advantage.

For regular garage driveway use steel jacks are better built and give you more lift capacity for the $'s spent.

Costco's Arcan is an excellent 3T jack for <$100.

I have a detached garage that I don't leave any tools in, so an aluminum one would be a bit easier to lug back inside.

I figured I would get flamed for mentioning HF but facts are facts Ive had mine for 2 years still rolls like new goes up and down smoothly and did noy break the bank when I bought it. Not gonna argue with you I just know mine is still workin fine and ive got my moneys worth out of it. Once again facts are facts.

2nd the Costco Arcan one. It's a tank, but it works and is inexpensive.

The HF aluminum ones are fine for your use, IMO.

really, you can't beat that last deal. Like another poster said, most jacks are similar levels of **** and you have to spend big $ to get a really good one...

For now just a Honda Accord.


I don't mind buying once and crying once. I'd rather have a jack that's going to last.

This is quite true........and it does not matter a lick. The jack still works fine and it still rolls quite easily even though the front roller is locked up.

Still though, there are better options out there. CMan has one on sale periodically for around 100-120. Forget exactly. Those days might be over for Cman though like so many other great Camn deals.
