If your looking for Apex made sockets, old Napa USA, Allen USA, Craftsman Industrial USA, Masterforce USA, and Armstrong fall under that umbrella. My 3/4 set is a mix of them all.

What exactly are you looking for? 3/8 drive, metric or SAE? I have an extra Menards Masterforce USA made Apex set that I might let go....

Right... Except Apex made Craftsman sockets.

That depends on which Apex you're referring to. If you're referring to the highjacked Apex then yes, they made Craftsman sockets. If you're referring to the original and true Apex like I am, they made tools for turning fasteners in the Aerospace industry and never had anything to do with Craftsman.

When people on this site use the names Apex and Craftsman in the same post, they are referring to the Apex that made Craftsman tools. Lol. It's obvious they are NOT referring to the Apex that never had anything to do with Craftsman.

Those same people don't have catalogs that go back 30 years either.

Are You looking for the later Craftsman sockets with the disputed "goofy APE-X double detent" , or older versions? I have used Craftsman sockets that span seven decades, and am well aware of a multitude of possible variations. Could You be a little more specific?

For sockets SK, Wright, Williams and Proto are all alive and well and top quality.

If you want NOS Apex/Armstrong try Crype distruibiting and Hand Tools for Less.

Congratulations on your old tool catalogs. The fact is a company named Apex made tools for Craftsman regardless if you like it or not. You've been around this website long enough..... you knew damn well that Apex made tools for Craftsman. Don't be stupid. :eyecrazy:

I'm not so sure how you're using the word "Apex."

There are no Craftsman sockets in the Apex catalog:

https://www.apexfasteners.com/fasteners/images/ApexToolGroupCatalog.pdf

Apex is Apex and Craftsman is Craftsman. Apples and Oranges.

If you're looking for Apex sockets, they are here:

.
I find that Apex Industrial catalog to be an interesting read, and saved a copy to my desktop. Looking it over, it becomes very clear as to what You are trying to say about The Apex industrial tool line vs the retail store branded "''Apex"" tools made FOR Craftsman, NAPA, Lowes, and others. The comparison of APEX with "that Apex" relates to the comparison of a respected tool company to a four letter word.

Thanks for Posting that Link.
