The lights pictured below use to be available at Lowes in Athens Georgia but no longer are. Has anyone seen them at their Lowes. They use to sell for around $30.00. The pictures are from an old CL ad from TX and I can't read the parts numbers which is what Lowes needs in order to look them up in their inventory.
I can't find anything comparable for less than 3-4 times that. Anybody know of any?

There was a barn light discussion just a week or two ago - try paging down a ways, or doing a search. I recall there were several cheap sources posted.

I think there's a guy currently selling some of these on classified.

190830...I think those are the numbers on the box, or does the store need the UPC # to look them up?

They discontinued those lights about three years ago. They only carry the small (app 10" diameter) version.

They were sold a month ago. I did get the numbers to Lowes and they said some one from the Athens store would be calling me. But that will prove useless as elvee has already reported they discontinued them 3 years ago.

Thanks everybody. I will be ordering the ones listed in the thread that Sturat referred me to.

There's a maker of this type of housing Germany. I'm trying to remember where I saw them. They look to be really nice castings. And the style hasn't changed since the 30's. Sort of like an old Berlin street light. Expensive, but when I saw, I thought they were impressive. Esp. since they've been continuously made for almost 75 years or so.

Which did you end up ordering? I've been very happy with my $35 lights - they don't have the gooseneck but aside from that they're basically the same as what you pictured.

To be honest, It doesn't really bother me they don't have the gooseneck and just have a straight pipe instead.

Here you go- www.barnlightelectric.com a good supply of barn and warehouse lights. I got my green warehouse lights at Homedepot.com Search for green pendant light. They look great in the garage similar to the orignal green gas station lights.

Regards,

Jack

I just mounted my galvanized barn light from Barn Light Electric... I bought it during their 10% Valentine's sale.

I hemmed and hawed about spending that much on a light for my garage, but after scouring the interweb for anything close I came back to Barn Light... and couldn't be happier.

It's the 16" galvanized with the HL-A arm for $187.00. While it seems pricey, it is definitely quality construction and will, no doubt, last for an extremely long time.

I give it an overall 4 out of 5. I'd give it 5/5 if it came with longer and stainless mounting screws.

Just my .02

Cheers-

I have those on my shop. I would sell them to you, but you gotta buy the whole shop. Don't worry it's portable.
