This is long overdue but I ended up striking a deal with Stable Hollow Construction from Manheim, PA. They were very accommodating through the design phases. I had done the design myself and they were very helpful in working out some of the kinks in bringing their expertise to the table.
I tried and tried to work with Conestoga Buildings but the building design was far too custom for them. Pole barns are their specialty and this was a foundation based building.
Talked with Kistler and a couple other builders briefly.
Though, nothing can beat Stable Hollow and their Amish construction expertise. The building is phenomenal with an incredible attention to detail in every aspect of the construction. I could not be happier.
Pricing? They were more than 20% less than typical building contractors. I suppose the lack of taxation and the fact that they work 2x as fast as regular builders makes the difference in their cost estimates.
When I say they work at 2x the pace of regular contractors-- it is no joke. During the framing (which only took 2 days), they were running around as if they were on fire. I didn't want to stand too close or I would have been run over or hit.
Such an amazing process. The project was absolutely awesome in every aspect.
