If anybody had any tips to welding whatver its made out of that'd be great. I busted the table on mine where it mounts to the round pipe. Preheated, welded with a rod that's meant for cast and covered with a welding blanket and let it cool slowly. Still cracked.

wouldn't that be dependent from batch to batch of the drill press ?


Pretty sure you can go find a better video on this subject. but that is what they taught in school back in the days, not sure if that is still the case.

The same spot was busted on the Buffalo 18 I have and was brazed at some point before I got it. The repair has held up fine for the 15+ years I've had it.

There is likely a bunch of info over on the OWWM forum about making repairs to cast iron.

Don't give up, the Buffalo presses are fantastic.
