I can't help but I have a question - why look for a repair kit for a tool with a lifetime warranty? I am assuming that it is an older one that you want to keep (don't want to swap out) as the quality apparently has suffered over the years. That's an open question - not just to the OP.

Why would you highjack some ones post with a question, when you already have the answer?

That is the same one. I picked up a couple from a board member and like the older style.

Passnthru: No worries on hijacking the thread. I think i anwsered your question though

Billymade: to be honest I have an idea whats wrong but haven't taken the time to open them up. I have some repair kits like those so they might work but I was looking for THE kit. Thanks

Sorry to say, the old Cman repair kits for these ratchets are few and far between. Maybe Ebay on occasion. I don't know if this will help, but you might try the old Proto - Challenger 1/4" drive repair kit, number 1060DRK if you can find one. I might have access to one or two of them if you tell me they work for your application. Personally, I like these ratchets in all the three drive sizes. Well, kinda, sorta, maybe.

The problem is, the Challenger's are double pawl while the Cman is single pawl. It's no problem in the Cman 3/8" and the 1/2" drive versions, in fact, they perform better with the Challenger repair kits in the double pawl configuration. I have several of them and do use them.

I can't comment on the 1/4" version though. Might work, or it might bind. You need to find out. Other than that, an OEM repair kit may be years away, if at all. Good luck.

that ratchet was made by stanley. I got a repair kit from them through the mail for a 1/2 drive for free. Just found a model number of a 1/2 drive in the stanley version a told them that is what I had and it worked.

Stanley still sells this ratchet in a Blackhawk name plate if you go to Stanley-Proto.com and click on the Blackhawk section get the kit part numbers then call customer service in georgia and they will send you head kits at no charge.
