I've got an older shop that has sliding doors on the front facing the road (the right of the attached pic), and one on the side facing the driveway. The one facing the driveway doesn't get used much, so it's still in good shape for the most part. The one facing the road however, is getting pretty worn out. I'd like to replace it with a regular garage door.
Here's where i come into an issue. The current opening is 141" wide, by 131 1/4" tall. The ceiling inside the door is almost flush with the opening, leaving no headroom for the door tracks. If I'm thinking correctly, i can use a 12' wide door, with a low headroom kit, and still be able to get a 10' tall door. I'd then have to build a header in the current opening to take up the extra foot or so.
Anybody have any recommendations? Thoughts?
