Any Bosch BOVA owners here, especially in the Mid-Atlantic region? I'd like your thoughts about comfort in all seasons. I'd also like any real-world money savings you have seen. I'm in the Virginia Beach, VA area for reference.
The BOVA seems to switch to cooling mode to defrost the OD unit. Does that mean cool/cold air is pumped through the house for the duration of the defrost cycle (5-10 minutes)? So then the HP would need to reheat the air in the house that it just cooled down?
I'm not a HVAC expert, just educating myself so I can make the best decision on a major investment. We have a gas furnace and upflow evap coil in the unconditioned attic and an outdoor condenser unit.
