Looking for feedback on Flex Nitro Tiles

After looking at the many options I am pretty sure I want the flexible, interlocking PVC floor tile. I saw several variations at Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon. I liked them all. The only thing I wasn't fond of was the visible interlocks. They would be especially noticeable when two different color tiles were joined to one another.

Then I tripped up on Flex Nitro Tile on Garage Flooring Inc. Price was very close to the others AND these tiles have the interlocks hidden. Has any installed these? Can you share your experience with them? Is there a similar product I should be looking at?

Hopefully, one of the vendors who sell PVC tiles will jump in and provide some info. Meanwhile, something to be aware of is that most of the Nitro product line is made overseas. We are currently updating an article on budget hard plastic garage tiles and are now including the Nitro version. When we called them to get more information, they could not provide material specs for the type of plastic used, nor could they provide rolling weight ratings for the tile. I know it's apples and oranges compared to PVC (flex) tiles, but it's an example of what you get with the Nitro line.

In addition, they make it a point to notify the prospective buyer about color variations and that it can vary greatly between batches. While that is possible with PVC tile, it's not nearly as big of an issue with the better brands out there. You can purchase higher-quality PVC tiles with hidden interlocks, but they are more expensive.

Wow. Based on lack of response no one is using the Flex Nitro Tiles.

Admittedly, I have never seen a hard plastic tile floor like RaceDeck. For whatever reason in my mind I don't like the idea of hard plastic tiles under my feet. I know many have commented that landscape fabric underneath helps with the clickety clack sound as you walk on it. Just a mental turn off to me. I guess that is why I am looking at softer tile materials.

Most of us refrain from commenting on someone else's product. In general, I avoid PVC in garages. We do offer PVC, and we can walk you through what to use and where, but PVC will stain from tires.

I was curious about these too since I'm doing some final research before ordering.

Also one coment on 'Hidden Joint' tiles. Hidden joints are two overlapping half-height joints (male by female). Because they are half sized, they are not as resistant to tire turning and such so in a garage environment we would recommend use of adhesive under them where the cards would drive and have tire turning to prevent any tile movement or unlocking. The standard joints are more resistant to this problem in an automotive type environment.

Once a floor is installed people really dont notice the visible overlapping of the traditional joints especially since they are being viewed from 5-6 feet up and not direclty in front of eyes. Of course, if the 'zipper' look is objectionable, then we do offer a variety of Hidden Joint options.
