Picked this up at a estate sale yesterday and I am having trouble finding anything on this. It appears to be marked ACO NY solid steel with a #2 on it. Any ideas?
Well after some light cleaning and some help from chalk it appears that this hatchet head was made by the Tacony Edge tool works in Philadelphia. No info.isavailable on how long the company was in business.
