Hi Guys,

Any wood working guys on the board to help a fellow member with a small redwood roof project?

I would like to build a small roof for a home made BBQ project that I have. I would like to make the roof 6' long, with perhaps 3' long roof line in each direction. I am thinking of making the roof pitch to be something in the 10 degree range.

The roof needs to be supported by 4x4 posts, and maybe something like 1' tall or so. I can e-mail pictures of the home made BBQ to anyone interested, I think that this would be the best method to show the interested people what I am trying to do.

I have a radial arm saw, a table saw, a skill saw, etc. I have made some 4x4 post buckets for the support with 1/2" through holes, I just need some help in designing this roof structure from the first step because redwood is spendy, and I only want to do it once.)

Thank you!!

Adam
