I am looking for a hub puller leg for an old puller I have. I do not know the brand but, it is similar to the one in the picture.
I bought one but, it is the wrong size. The opening for attaching it to the puller is too large (3/4" dia.) I need one with a 5/8" dia. opening.
If anyone has a one or, a source please let me know. I have search to no avail.hub puller.jpgPULLER ARM.jpg

I had an older unit from a garage sale missing a leg too. I found that the modern manufactured ones were not the same size as the older one I had. No brand on mine, and sorry no source for you on this one. They are quite commonly available complete these days as very few use them these days. I picked up a complete Snap on unit as a full replacement at an estate sale for a song.

My suggestion is similar. You can root around in parts boxes at garage sales for a year, or just punt and grab a complete used on easily.

Could you make a sleeve with 1/16" wall thickness to fit inside the big one? Cut out the opening, splay it and hammer it in place?

Use one of the existing legs and make a sand cast using aluminum for the win.
Encountered the same ( no match) with a cast claw foot.

These hub puller come with 5 or 6 legs with holes, and also a set of disc puller legs ..........possibly more important is the axle thread protector ........some of the keyed taper hubs are incredibly difficult to pull ,and end up with ruined axles.

complete pullers on ebay (used) range from about $50 to $250. these things only sold for about $45 brand new in the 1970s.

* also check your local Craigslist listings under "tools" - just search: " puller | arm | leg " so you don't have to run multiple searches. (there will be four times as many listings as one would get from just searching "puller", but you won't miss anything.)

Fir the record ,if anyone is interested ......the hub puller legs that are notched rather than holed are for Fords which had a flange around the hub that the legs engage instead of breaking the wheel studs .
