Looking for ideas, designs for homemade arbor press stand

Got me a Dake 1 1/2B press which ways almost 200lbs. Looking for ideas or designs for making a stand for it to sit on either metal or wood. I have a welder but my design skills well pretty much ***** so those that have built their own let me see them. Thanks

Make sure you can bolt the press down.

An arbor press stand is a little bit like a jib crane...there's a tall column and a person hanging from a horizontal arm.

Not all of the time but we've all been there.

The design can be as simple as a post (steel box tube) and two plates, one for the floor and one for the press-base. Good to bolt it to the floor. Good to gusset the connection at the cantilevered support (the floor plate).

The design can get more exotic to involve multiple columns which can open the door to trays or shelves for press-tooling (there's always a collection of pins and washers and tube cutoffs that follow my presses around, usually with side trips to the lathe).

Pick up a cheap 2 drawer filing cabinet. Bolt it a Harbor Freight furniture dolly and build a 3/4 plywood box around the cabinet. Shouldn't have a problem supporting the press and you'll have plenty of storage.

Look at the factory type stands.
If it was me I would make a tripod type stand and make accommodation to add weight to the back leg.
If you don’t need to move it then bolt down to the floor.

I have mine clamped to my steel work bench as it’s heavy enough to not tip when I lean on the thing.
I have it clamped to I can scoot it foreward if I need to press through the front slot

Be careful of the casters...that's a great look but its bad day waiting to happen when that 150 lb casting falls on your foot from 3 feet high. I've been literally hanging off the press arm on a large #4 arbor press before. Can't do that with a bench unit but there's always that job where you need some more.
