Looking for ideas for a wood working bench

What I need is a bench that includes a small table saw, a miter saw, and maybe a router. It needs to be on wheels, so I can roll it outside so as not to get sawdust all over everything in the garage. Currently, I have to set up a piece of plywood on saw horses, lug the saws outside, and when I'm done, tear it all down and lug everything back in.

Has anyone made anything like this?

I've seen a few of these in some of the woodworking magazines. go to your library and check out some of the back issues of the woodworking magazines. they might also have it online.

I can't remember where I saw it or the details of it but a while back I saw a workbench that had a triangular piece in the middle that mounted 3 tools and you basically picked the center out and set in the tool you wanted to use. you could probably use something like that have a place where you could lock in a replaceable section for whatever tool you needed at the time?

The book I posted has simular setups, hide aways, and rotatable tools. The small picture on the left in the middle is one of them, flips from a planner to a scroll saw, or something like that. They are hinged, so you just unlock and rotate.

Suggestion:
- Build a base for the tablesaw with locking rollers.
- For the Miter box cut a piece of plywood that will clamp to the top of the tablesaw. Mount the Miter box to that. When you need to use the Miter box clamp it to the top of the tablesaw.
- Mounting the router can be done in several ways. Without seeing your table saw I would say Cut another piece of plywood about twice the size of your table saw. Use one side to clamp to the top of the table saw and mount the router on the other side from the bottom. You will also want to put some legs on the router side to stabilize the router table set up.

I've already got the bench. I took a 3'x8' one out of the old garage, cut the legs down to 32", and tomorrow I'm going to add some locking wheels.

I like the idea of drawers. Currently, my wood tools are in 2 HD 5 gal. buckets and scattered throughout my tool boxes...and out in the garden shed...and in the other garage.

I did make some progress today, got the locking wheels on the bench and it rolls around effortlessly, even on the exposed aggregate driveway. I also picked up some 2x4's for lower bracing and now...for framing in some shelves and drawer openings. I'm going to wait till the book shows up from Amazon before I decide what to do for the table saw, router table, and miter saw.
