Looking for ideas for swing away racks in a spray booth

hey guys, I just a spray booth/wash bay in my building. It is a dedicated bay sectioned off from the rest of the building.
16' Wide
38.5' Long
16' Hight
white metal wall liner

I would like to make something that I can hang truck/tractor parts when painting. Something about 8' from floor level.
But when not in use, they can with tight against the walls.

I have a bunch of 1-5/8 stainless strut I was going to mount to the wall and attach to the perlins.

Then was thinking about using some 1 - 1.25" galvanized conduit mounted with clamps and have a 8' piece swing out with a 45* piece going up to support it.

What are your guys thoughts?

How big of a part? If you need to get to center of space (8') with 1000# it is a very different thing than a 50# part that can be a few feet off the wall.

We had an overhead bar that we could hang from tracks for loose parts in one of the Spoven booths I worked with. Kinda a PITA to put up but nice to hang a bunch of small stuff. Carts with arms were a lot easier to deal with - you could do all the prep outside hang the part and roll into the booth.

Commercially available autobody fender paint stands are pretty versatile and much more flexible and not hard to hide touch down points.

Check out the hinges for steel gates at the steel shops. They are usually 3/4 inch solid round stock and weldable. You might need only one per long arm of square tube that would swing out and back.

You really don't want to hang anything off the ceiling or the walls in a paint booth, especially if you are planning to paint them, as they will move under even the low HVLP spray patterns. The last thing you want to do is have something swinging while you are laying down paint or primer.

The better idea is something like this, you can put fenders, doors, hoods, etc on them, and set it up at an angle that you can easily work with for each part.

I've owned a bodyshop (franchise) in the past and have used all three, each has their own inherent pluses and minuses, if you are working on a part here and there, then #3 might work for you. If you are a cheapskate, then #2, if you are a perfectionist, then again, #1 is your best option.

Well. My idea came to fruition.

I used 7/8 uni-strut lagged to the studs @ 3 different perlins. Then used 1-5/8 strut across the 7/8 strut.

Lowes had in the plumbing isle some “swivel” connectors for 3/4 pipe and they also had
