looking for ideas outside of the durapanel linder for my barn walls...anyone else use a unqiue combination of materials to limit horizontal seams

4' wainscoting of half an LP Smartside panel. Then 8' green drywall above that. Used a stick of Smartside and some oak cove as the "chair rail."

Probably not what you want, but it's a durable way to cover 12'+ of walls in a finished garage.

well you can mud over drywall. No seams. cheap.

I did bare sheet metal on bottom 4' and drywall up the rest of the 8'.

I did T1-11 for the bottom 8' and then plywood above that. Then put some 1/4 x 1" painted pieces over the seams of the top part. Wife liked the T1-11 look or probably would have just done plywood for all.

I used 4’x10’ sheets of LP Smart siding for the upper 10’ foot and then barn siding run vertical on the bottom 30” or so, across the studs.
