I am looking for some suggestions on purchasing some 3/8" standard impact swivel sockets. Lookin for what you all think is good quality for a cheap price. I will be using these on a 3/8" 18v dewalt impact. Also wondering is craftsman still a good choice for the night n weekend wrencher ? :dunno:

The "pinless" impact sockets from Craftsman are USA made...... I beleive they are made by Armstrong and are the same ones that Matco sells. They are on my list, too. :D

The pinless are awesome, but pricey. I have several brands/kinds, grey pneumatic and Sunex are the most budget friendly quality ones. My sk's have been great, I have 1/4 adv from Matco, they are good, and of course snap on are good, but way more than most guys wanna spend.

Re Craftsman -
I'm unsure of your type of use or what you'll work on but, this is a good starter set.

The set is missing the 1/2 :wtf: and the universal joint is pinned but the set is still a good value.

I've used the pinless type from Matco/Armstrong/craftsman for over 10 years in a professional shop environment on the end of TIMAX impacts. Although I have worn a couple out, I haven't ever broken one.:dunno:

If this set doesn't work for you, shop ebay but, be careful, there are many sets listed as pinless but, aren't.

The Craftsman pinless aren't cheap, not sure if the OP is aware of that.

Cheap quality to me would be brands like
GP, Sunex (Taiwan) and SK (USA)
