Looking for info on an old hand crank drill

made by goodell - pratt pat date is 1895 not sure when it was actually made though. It was one of my grandfathers tools. i didnt want the little grand kids taking it out to play with it in the dirt so grandma let me take it. still works really smooth and the chuck also works.
it is not on alloy artifacts.

My grandfather had a whole barn full of old stuff like that.

My grandfather had more or less told my brother and I we could have what we wanted when he passed. Well aunt came in like a hawk and did the whole "mine, mine, mine" to everything. They had bought the house a few years prior and were living out of state but they felt the that house included everything.
My brother asked them if he could have one of my grandfather's rifles and he may as well have asked for a million dollars. I don't remember which one now, but now of them were worth much other than sentimental value.

Godell Pratt merged with Millers Falls tools in the early 1930s so it is at least that old. There are similar drills in the 1926 catalog.

I live pretty close to Greenfield. The Goodell Pratt/Millers Falls plant is now an apartment complex.
