Looking for info on old devilbiss compressor

Bought this today for 175$ devilbiss 330 runs almost silently. 2 stage 60 gallon 2hp 110 runs 24 amps and 220 runs 12.4 amps westinghouse dual voltage motor wired for 220 currently.

Looking for a date on the pump/tank/ motor

The guy I bought it from said hes owned it 18 years and hes had it turned down to 120 psi.
Turned it up to 150 and it didnt blink, oil looks new.

He thought it was about a ~1970 but im thinkng its alot older then that.


Also I would love to hear any info anyone might have on this old girl. Cfm date... anything

I got a Devilbiss Catalog from 1957. I can look in there. Whats the model number ?? 330 ??

The DeVilbiss name plate says "Toledo 1, Ohio, USA" - that form of postal zone (the 1 in the address) started in 1943 and ended when zip codes came along in 1963, so that agrees with the 1954 date code you found.

I've got one similar to the OP, with a tank date of 1957. It's an old workhorse.

I just picked up a neglected 330 tonight for $25 and a 2 hour round trip. The motor on mine is a GE 5KC203XA14AX. The pump is missing its head but seems complete from case to pistons and is of course seized up.

Seller said its dated 1950, but haven't found a date yet personally
