Anyone familiar with these round-handled Snap-On wrenches? I pick up these four recently, and I was wondering what sizes Snap-On made with this round handle design? It seems as if I were to buy these wrenches new today they would look like a more conventional, flat-handle wrench. I’m definitely on the OCD side and love things to match and love to have complete sets. I have up to 1 1/2” in the modern design, but since I have four of these already I’m hoping I can get a 1 9/16 and up in this style. Any info would be great. These things are pretty cool.

Thanks for the catalogs, I look forward to browsing though then. I did a quick search on eBay, and from what I can gather, 1 11/16” is the smallest wrench they made in this style. So up to 1 5/8” would have been the standard, flat handle wrench design. All the modern wrenches have the flat design. 1 5/16” is the largest Flank Drive Plus wrench they make. I also noticed that they do not currently make a 1 15/16” combination wrench, and it seems as if they never have. And just for fun, I figured out their numbering system. It is based on 32nds of an inch. An OEX 32 is a one inch wrench, an OEX48 is inch and a half, OEX64 is two inch etc…

For a given weight of metal, an oval, rectangular or I-cross section will be much more resistant to deflection and bending than a round one.

For small tools, it likely don't matter. For huge wrenches I'd probably be standing on the end of, bouncing up and down, it does.
