I recently received some metal cabinets from a business that is no longer there they are about 281/2 inches high about 19 and change deep and about 20 wide actually a little less but they are made by Elliot anyone heard of em? I have three of these and wanted to make them into a bar for the outside grill area, but before i tear into them I want to make sure they arent like special cabinets or something. I will take pics when I get home they are in good shape I just want to scuff and paint them and then I have to figure out how i want to mount them. I have an idea of taking a storage rack side frame laying it down and mounting the cabinets to it and just adding some feet and then I need some ideas for the top so its weather proof.:thumbup:

What difference would it make if they are *special* or not. Use them as you intended. As far as weather proof. I think as long as there isn't bare metal you should be good. Keep a wax on to repel water. I'm not sure you can seal the doors to keep stuff inside dry if exposed to rain.

not worried so much about the cabinets themselves but the counter top i want to put on there I was thinking of just using the fake decking material figured that would work good.
