I got this Sunex socket a few years ago,

and was ready to use it for the first time on an Econoline van. But the inside diameter of 48 mm is just a couple mm too small to fit over the end of the tie rod. Any suggestions who makes a slightly larger one at a reasonable price.

Blue Point has two sizes of steering rack wrenches. Can't recall the max size. I bought them both for the shop. The larger one fits our Ford Explorer based vehicles. Among others of course. The website would tell you. The price wasn't bad on industrial discount, but of course will be higher for average Joe Citizen. There's clones out there though too, if you're willing to entertain that option. I've seen those on eBay.
