Looking for lighting ideas for odd shaped garage

Hey Everyone,

As the title states, I am looking for some input and advice on some options for lighting my garage. It is an oddly shaped 20ft x21ft attached double. As you can see in the attached pictures, the center of the garage is 12ft, the two lowered sides are 9.5ft, and there is a beam running through the garage as well to support the bedroom above. The plan is to add more outlets to the garage, a unit heater, lights, epoxy floor, and mud, tape, and paint.

To make matters worse, I am planning on installing some overhead shelving above the garage door against the beam, and cabinets over the benches at the front and a floor to ceiling unit left of the stairs to the mandoor. I have also attached some rough CAD drawings I've created to try and come up with ideas.

I was originally planning on using lights like these, but it may be difficult to space out with this shape.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks,

Garret.

What's your end result intended primary use? At the moment it looks more like storage than wrenching, thus less critical lighting.

Good point.

Right now, it is basically cold storage. Once the lighting and heating are done, I plan on actually using the garage for working on my cars and rebuilding an old motorcycle. I do quite a bit of repair stuff for the families, but other than that I love to play around with my two DSMs (under the car covers).

Thank you for all of your advice so far, I definitely appreciate it. Based on your comments above, could you provide your opinion if Option 1 below would be sufficient?

I also did an option two, where I would use something like standard 100 watt LED equivalent bulbs, then the lights you recommended for additional. Does this seem like a decent option?

Thanks again for all of your help. We recently moved in and I would love to make this a great space for wrenching.

Option 1, but 2 vertical fixtures left, center and right, though I'm not sure how to add the second fixture to the center (between cars) shelf area. Add a 3rd horizontal fixture at top, connect end to end and pull those 3 fixtures (~2ft from wall) such that they provide decent workbench lighting.
