Hey there,

My garage/shop is full of machines, engine rebuilding machines, I'm looking for Mats to go in front of the machines that I can stand on when running these machines. Looks nice and less fatigue for me.

Saw theses on the bay, but they are across the Pond and shipping would be pretty high. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Non-slip-Garage-Workshop-Floor-Matting-Dog-Dirt-Trapper-Flooring-Mats-Washable-/220878530608?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Decorative_Accents_LE&hash=item336d62e830#ht_2544wt_905

Anybody know of a place in the States where I can get something similar, or I've seen some with Vehicle Logo's and such that are cool. I've only seen these in dealerships never for sale.

If you have some in your garage, it would be great to see them.

Thanks!

Mm

I have and love the tractor supply stall mats. They are bulletproof, do not slide around and CHEAP!!!

There seems to be a couple versions. find the ones with the diamond plate texture.

When my local store gets the diamond plate version back in I am going to buy enough to do the entire garage floor with the stuff.

There is a guy around here that used to make all the swap meets selling old uniforms, rags, and floor runners. He said that he got them from the uniform supply that services shops and such. So check with some of the commercial laundry/uniform shops. If a mat gets torn then they cannot put them out and have to dispose of them.

no neat sig line

The stuff from Tractor supply and also BLT I bet would work great for what I want to do, but doesn't really have the look I'm after. I guess I should have put more importance on looks over function, I want that anti-fatque feature but the look is the shop look.

The sections of rug, sometimes different colors, usually have a thin border all the way around.

Larry nailed it with the Laundry service, shop I used to have was supplied with those Rugs/Mats from the laundry service when they brought us are uniforms and towels. I called one of those services a few months ago and they said they would bring me some and service them for me, but nothing was for sale, used or anything.

Maybe I'll give it a try again with a different company. Thought for sure other people would be using these too. They are nice walkway runners as well, they give a small shop a more organized and well thought out feel.

Anybody else?

Thanks!

I bought an anti fatigue mat from northerntool. Wasn't cheap but was less than commercial places when shopping online.

For our outside area in front of the garage we have a few large strips of old conveyor belt for kneeling or laying on. Works great and was free.

Sams has some similar the the Craftstman type - 2x2 square with interlocking edges. The Craftsman ones I have are gray and the local Sams type are tutti-fruiti color. The gray ones are holding up well to abuse, grease, etc. Don't expect them to stay neat and pretty for very long. I like these better than stall blanket because the foot transition from surface to mat is smoother. Stall mat is 3/4 or better thick.

I'd love the ones pirate listed but they are not available locally. Here's what is local to me:

Sam's whole list of mats:

The gray pebble Mats at Sam's club look pretty good. When I first asked about this I
had a picture in my head of one type of Mat, now I'm not so sure.

Sorry about the delay getting back to this thread, my kids have brought home another "Let gets everyone sick bug" and its been biting my **** lately, don't want to get out of bed.

I'll get back to figuring this out in a couple of days.

Thank You!
