Looking For Narrow Two-Post Lift......

I recently sold my Bendpak HD-9ST and am wanting to purchase a 2post symetrical lift for my new residential garage. The garage is a standard two car 24ft deep X 19.6ft wide. I would still like to park two cars side by side in the garage. The narrow setting on the Bendpak XPR10 is 132" from outside to outside of baseplates. Thats about the narrowest lift iv found. I need something with a smaller foot print. Maybe in the ballpark of 122" to 126" to comfortably fit a car beside the lift. (ill be lifting standard sedans and smaller SUV's and the occational pickup truck)Anyone know of any manufactures or models i have over looked?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The Dannmar Brigadier 10AC is 123.5 outside columns. But it's an asymmetric.

With a lift that narrow, not sure how you would get in and out of the car, would be a real squeeze to get the car between the posts.

My 1997 vintage Challenger 9K lift is 130" to the outside and I forget the inside dimension, but I would much rather have a wider lift even for my small vehicles.

Mohawk a7 is 127 inches to outside of large column feet...asymmetric so you can get out. I just installed mine 6 inches from wall. Pricey but solid. Haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I just looked at the mohawk A7. That work, but i just cant justify the cost of a Mohawk lift for residential occational use.

Asymetric will allow you to get in and out. I went Forward Versametric in my 21' wide garage. One pillar is against the wall, one sits dead center.

There is a thread on one post lifts on here. Maybe that would be better for you as the garage could be wide open without the second post. The real bonus is you can always get out the door with out the second post. I would consider one myself if my trucks were not so heavy.

One post lift wont allow me access to wheel and suspention components. Similar to a four post lift.

I have seen the spec's and drawing for BendPak's new lift. It should solve your width problem. I think you will like the price. i am just glad it was JSK that let the cat out of the bag. If I had done it, there would be a new Canadian BendPak dealer. The good news for you Tony, is babco has a warehouse in Mississauga and if you need it installed we have our own people there.

Tony, if less than a full height lift will work for you, you could try a Maxjax. Mine id set up at 120". The other bonus is that you can easily remove the posts and wheel them out of the way. But you will not be able to stand beneath.

I ended up purchasing a Bendpak XPR-10. I could not wait any longer for the release of the GrandPrix7 series of lifts. I believe its still not available to purchase.

I know it's more expensive but a Mohawk A-7 looks like it would fit in a small space as well. In fact I'm getting tempted to put either that or MaxJax in the tandem bay of my garage.

dannmar makes some pretty great stuff, especially for the cost. i dont think their are any ALI certified lifts that come at that cost.

also the GP-7 is a mystery to me too, someone should PM JSK see what he has in store.

I am interested in the GP 7 narrow lift as well... The garage at my house is 24 feet wide on the inside and if the overall width was about 10 feet I would have plenty of room to open doors etc of the vehicle in the second bay. I have found lifts with a 11.5' width but it would be tight.

I have yet to hear anything regarding the GP-7 lift from bendpak. The Bendpak website also has no info on this lift.

The used Nussbaum SPL9000 I bought is 116" outside of post to outside of post.It is an asymmetric lift of high quality...still available in the USA.

JSK (or BABCO), any updates? I've been holding off buying a lift because this would be perfect for me, but not sure how much longer I can wait. Sent you a PM, but I'm sure you get a ton of those. Saw you were posting so figured I'd bump this.
