I looking for a 40-41" ish box to replace my Blue Point tool cart KRBC7TDPCM below. What I want is Snap-on KRA4813DPCM but lets realistic, that's way too much for a 40" box ($2670). I've thought about the HF 13 drawer red roller cab # 90320 but I what something with a grip latch style like Snap-on or Craftsman and not detents. I will be using this as a service cabinet, meaning it's going to roll from car to car. Anyone else doing this? I have been looking for a month now, there's not many options that I've found. I saw the Masterforce 41" on here but I can't find it for sell anymore plus I think has detents too.

someone just posted a MAC box about that size for $600
on CL in the LA area

I have the box you pictured. its a decent box but not up to the grade of the larger SO boxes. to me it seems high for $2600

my SO guy offered me a new yellow box that is bigger than that for $3000, regulaly around $5500
he got it on promo and its the last one like that he has from the promo

The HF box is ok, but IMO something even close to that big, loaded with tools, is gonna be heavy to push around all the time...

How much do you need to tote from point to point?

When I was at republic airways taking a tour there was a sea of those hf 13drawer boxes. And out there you have to be able to move your box around alot. Granted spaces are much more open but still you have to be able to move it. And there were tons of em. So keep it in mind. Its not nearly as nice of a box as some of the snappys and what not but Dont spend your money on the box.

Yes they are nice but a big bad beautifull box will come in time. For now take the cash you saved and go buy some nice U.S. made tools to make up for the china box.

Also take a look at strictlytoolboxes.com They have some fine 41 boxes that are about the same as the hf box and will deliver to your door for free on many boxes! CANT BEAT THAT! They are a site sponsor of gj.com so the link is available on the home page or here

Best luck

I just ordered the KRA4813DPCM. I wanted something I can wheel around my garage or out into the driveway. I'm going to setup my hand tools in it (sockets, ratchets, wrenches and maybe screwdrivers) I don't have a good place in my big boxes for the sockets and ratchets to be nicely organized. This should do nicely.

I am not a big Snap On guy. To me the prices seem to be a bit much for being a backyard guy. But I figured for this service cart idea it won't hurt too much to go SO, even if it is Blue Point from China!

If I was in the market for a 40" box, SO would be the top of my list. Hand down the best 40" box. Pricey yes, but today what is the compition? A Waterloo who make almost everyone or a China made box. That said, I would look at Kennedy, very good boxes. They make several boxes in the size you are looking at and made for field maintance, a lot of miles put on rolling around a factory. Fastenal carries a 39" maintance pro box with full width drawers, take a look at it.
