Want to put some windows just below the eves of yet to be built shop. I have seen these called different things: Awning, Transom, or Clerestory windows. Want tilt out with a gear drive that can have an extension rod so they can be operated from the floor as the bottom will be about 10' off the floor. But I haven't been able to find them with the gear opener like that. Anyone know where to find these or links? Maybe they go by some other name?

It isn't a type of window so much as it is a window with a screw Jack attachment. So I believe you need a tilt window with a screw Jack that is 10' long. Or how ever long you need it to be able to reach it.

The tilt out would be an Awning Window.

First post so I can't give you a link, but
Google Andersen 400 series Awning.

You can get them with a power opener.
Look in the home automation section.

I don't see how a screwjack will work in a vertical wall with a tilt window. The screw assembly will be perpendicular to the wall and would need a right angle gear to work from a shaft going down.
