From what I can tell, you are right that they are the same jacks. Both are model #93652, but the cheaper one is sold from sears.com and the more expensive one is sold through unbeatablesale.com. The Sears website is going the route of Amazon, so look around for the cheapest seller.

Sears has lost there mind.

http://www.jackxchange.com/products/HW93652.cfm

Hein werner only sells the 2 and 3 ton in that size and they are a HW93642 which is 2 tons and the HW93652 which is 3 tons. I would do some googling and find the best deal including shipping or maybe try to get price match via Sears. Dunno??

Thanks guys, I thought something was screwy, description was the same. Will start searching, just wanted to make sure I had the correct model. I know this is a dumb question, but the 3 ton jack's handle does go vertical, right? I have bought two different jacks in the past and the handles only went to like 75 degrees, so the jack took ip about 6 feet of floor space. Thanks again!

Yep, All HW's handle goes beyond 90 degrees and sits forward towards the front of the jack a bit. I cant stand them jacks where the handle only to about 70 degrees like some of the Michelin, Craftsman etc... All made by Shinn Fu.

They had the F U right, I bought a Michelin, it looked nice, but as soon as I put the handle in, I brought it back. Craftsman used to have a 4 ton that I bought, it started leaking in about a week so I brought it back, they stopped selling them and gave me another that was junk with the handle at 70 degrees! Took that back then bought my Larin which I am working on now. If I had just bought the Hein Werner first, all of this BS could have been avoided. Not in the budget this month, but it is high up on my list of need to gets.

Strouty,

Shinn Fu makes the HW jacks as well, only here in the states (or enough to claim that).
