I have a typical 2 car attached garage that I’m making nice. When I moved in, it was studded walls and open ceiling. I have since r23 insulated the walls, r48 insulated the ceiling, drywalled, painted, polyaspartic coated the floor and added some Storewall slat system with hooks and baskets. The walls are a neutral light gray. Now I am thinking of doing a darker gray on the bottom 3ft with a blue stripe separating the light and dark gray....what do you guys think? Leave it less is more, or spice it up a little?

I just want to caution the dark Grey. Do the contrast and the strip , and "Do" the colours so they tie in or nicely contrast your tool box/equipement colour scheme. A drastic contrast will seem dark in my minds eye from your description, But the right amount of contrast and that will "Pop" for sure My present thoughts for mine are in line with yours a white [or ivory or even a super lite grey] upper and a med grey lower with a narrow red stripe between to tie into the Craftsman/Lincoln Red/Black/Silver (white) equipment. And for your satisfaction paint it the colours you envisioned, leave them for a short period for evaluation you will not be the first to change your mind, if you do it will only be maybe a $100 and a weekend if you don't fill it before you change your mind. This was my previous garage...I’d do the same thing, just a thinner blue stripe.

As Stuart mentioned the light would not reflect as well. But if you have sufficient lighting it may not matter. Your idea would add some pizazz and as some are saying take it up a notch. Is the baseboard an extension of the Polyaspartic? That is cool. Do you mind telling us what the flooring cost per sq. ft. before the baseboard was added in? If not no problem.
Why blue and not red as in your previous garage? Both colours I think look good with grey.

Make sure you show us what you did in the end.

One of my neighbors in the next street has painted his entire house LA Lakers purple with gold trim...

I wouldn't recommend it, all the other neighbors hate it... I think it's hilarious

I wouldn't do anything at this point. Not sure where all you plan on putting work benches or cabinets, but I'd hate to go through the trouble of painting everything and then covering it all up.

If you have a master plan you're building to, then I think the dark grey with a blue stripe would look great anywhere where it'd be visible.

No offense meant to those who like it, but the whole grey lower wall with a stripe seems kind of played out...everyone has already done it.

Less is more... looks sharp the way it is. Since you asked...

I'd run white baseboard trim, add some nice automobilia, or whatever you hobby or theme is, wall art and call it a day. If you end up putting in some upper cabinets and workbench or toolbox you'll cover up much of you paint theme.
