I am building a flat bed for my Nissan pickup from a steel bed from a old piece of farm equipment, I will sand blast the loose paint from it then want to prime it and paint it with equipment paint I have. I was looking at rustolum primer but not sure which one to use, I want something that will not rust through if my metal still has rust on it. What would you recommend. I don't want to spend a lot because the truck will be used around the farm and in the woods but I want to paint the bed black, its yellow now so it will look better on my blue hardbody pickup.

Case like this I’d go por15. Not as cheap as rustolem though.

Id use the RustOPium but I would also add the hardener made by Valspar sold at Tractor supply. This will make it dry faster and cure in 24 hours. Mix only what you will need as it will setup fairly quickly. Then clean the gun with lacquer thinner promptly.
If the equipment paint is enamel use the hardener too.
