Looking for quality RG6 stripper

Like the title says, I need a decent quality RG6 stripper. Not the flimsy ones you get with a pack of compression fittings. Any suggestions?

Any thomas and Betts tool should be good.i use one a little different than the one in the link above.mine is universal also model 596711. I bought mine at my local electrical supply but you can google the part number to see if you like the style.

Used one of these doing CATV and Satellite work for years. Great product. I averaged about 2 replacement blades a year.

I got one of these when I ripped all the junk out of my house. Works very well, and still sharp after dozens of strips. Has two cutters. One to get through the insulator, another for just the outer jacket. One shot and you're done. Works for quad sheild too.

So I picked up one of these when it caught my attention at the Home Depot

Seems to work well.

I previously had one of these http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/strippers/katapult-coaxial-cable-stripper from another manufacturer. It would compress the dielectric insulator on the copper. The cable guy pointed out that the ends I had done with it didn't seal completely and was likely leading to RF leakage or whatever.

Second question - the foil wrap on the dielectric - the ends that I use seem to pull that foil back. Is the foil supposed to remain intact right up to the end? Should I use some ends that don't tear it up?

I have that same exact stripper and I really like it.

Yeh, it seems good. Doesn't cut up the shield and the strip lengths are spot on every time.

I have 2 coax strippers. An older 3-level one and the 2-level klein linked above.

i bought the 3 level one 16yrs ago and it still cuts perfectly. What i like about it is the the adjustable blades. Unfortunately, it is unbranded so no telling who makes or made it...

I bought the klein one a few months back when i didnt have all my tools with me and i only needed it for stripping RG59 for CCTV that only needs 2-level stripping.
