Scroll compressor finally arrived. The only thing I've done is wire up the plug and let it cycle a couple of times. I haven't tested it under load. Will do that over the weekend...then start plumbing the rapidair 3/4 tubing.

It is quiet. QUIET. Like have a whisper conversation right next to it quiet. Amazing. Will report back once I've had a chance to actually use it.

I just bought an 80 gallon "Polar Air" Eaton Compressor. It just arrived so I haven't hooked it up yet but I think they have a 60gal model. Just unboxed it and it looks really nice with a big air silencer on it... Quiet, Reliable, Cheap... Pick two, I picked quiet and reliable. :) Give Eaton a call and see what they have.

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! I heard the Flexzilla version of this at SEMA two years ago. You could carry on a conversation two feet away from it. This thread can end now.

I got the chance to put this thing through its paces the other day... this guy here with a roloc disc

Both worked fine. Probably not at full power, but good enough. Tried to stall or slow the big one by pushing it into the work harder than I normally would, and it powered right through.

So far I'm happy with it. Hopefully with the occasional use it will see, this compressor lasts.

That is easily the most valuable tool in my toolbox. What other tool can cut, sand, polish, sharpen and deburr.

I have an Eaton I've been happy with. Cast Air is another option. https://castair.net/
