Hello,

I was looking for input on a quiet grinder that could be used for tire buffing and removing adhesive .

We have a guy in the shop that takes forever to remove wheel weight adhesive

Pneumatic preferred

currently running a blue point AT240

Dynabrade makes some die grinders that have large mufflers. Maybe not specialty tools like this, because Dynabrade is $$$ and if it's in a tire shop then low price wins for 99.9%.

The one you linked is rated at 89 dba. That's about as loud as it gets. Many rate in the low 80s and some of the Astro Onyx and Capri (possibly the same tool) are rated at 78 dba. That's going to sound a whole lot quieter, but is still loud.

10db is perceived as half the loudness. 78's also well below osha exposure recommendations, so it would be good for everyone around
